A framework for reading closed aquatic ecosystems — through five ecological rhythms, three system phases, and the alignment between keeper and tank. Six sections. Read in any order.

A note on what this claims

ARA does not claim empirical validation. It claims theoretical coherence — that its constructs are well-defined, their relationships hold together, and the questions they raise can be tested. Four of the five rhythms (Water, Biological, Environmental, Livestock) rest on established research in aquatic ecology, microbiology, and captive welfare, and require examination by researchers with that expertise before being treated as more than coherent propositions. The fifth, Keeper Rhythm, is the author's area of formal grounding — the framework's central contribution, and the reason the other four are included at all. What follows is offered as a starting point for testing, not a finished theory.
